Importing Media

Valid headers:

• Code
• Title
• Type
• StaffEmail (optional)
• Shelf (optional)
• Notes (optional)
• Active (optional)
• CheckoutPeriod (optional)

Explanation:

The code is used to uniquely identify the media, it must be unique across for the selected location. It allows users to easily locate the media by scanning its barcodes or typing its code in.

The title is required. It's text displayed to the students to visually identify the media item.

The type is required. Text to identify the type of the media item. Common examples are Book, CD, DVD, Magazine, etc.

The staff email is optional. In case the media item is associated with an instructor, enter his/her email address here.

The shelf is optional. Text to help locate where this media item is stored.

The notes are optional. Text with additional information of this media item.

The active field is optional. Whether this media item is available for checkout. 'Yes' or 'No' values are accepted. Defaults to 'Yes'.

The checkout period field is optional. A valid period is conformed of 2 parts: a number and a one-letter unit. The valid units are h for hours, d for days and w for weeks. Valid Examples: 12h, 7d, 1w, 4w.
